I never thought trial by fire was literal, until we landed in El Dorado.

My vampire warrior is heading into the royal conclave, which is more dangerous than I realized. The worst part is he doesn’t even want to be king, but if he refuses to participate in the three deadly trials then he’ll be executed as a traitor.

Which would kill me too, thanks to the mate bond.

As though waiting to see if he survives isn’t bad enough, my other warriors and I have to try and get the stone so I can balance the realm and not anger the people of El Dorado in the process.

There’s one question that circles around and around in my mind. Can our little group survive the tests El Dorado has in store for us and stabilize the realm at the same time, or will we finally be burned?
