Coming of age is terrifying enough.

In a letter from home, my mom told me of her marriage to the infamous Dr. Frankenstein, and those were her last words. I am on my own now, to struggle with bullies, my reckless behavior..., and werewolves.

A werewolf could be anyone—my cousin, my clumpmaster—or even me.

At a boarding school in Victorian Scotland, I found out that monsters can be men, and men monsters. Werewolves, vampires, or even worse. Being a shapeshifter is my blood. But perhaps I have the power to stand up to my stepfather Dr. Frankenstein and find out what happened to my mom (with help from Uncle Van Helsing, of course).
