The Seven Day Storm Festival is on the horizon, and Fern has been invited to cater the festivities. She and Jenny Mae are serious about finding the right recipes and costumes to make the festival a hit for the bakery. Newman is excited because he’s entrusted to run the bakery while they are working at the event. Gumbo is just hoping for lots of carrot cake and bacon.

What’s the problem? Well, the man who hired them to cater the celebration is found dead. Nobody is going to shed any tears over the giant jerk. Still, once again, Fern is dropped into the middle of a murder investigation. Can Fern and friends solve the murder, or will she end up in a killer’s snare?
